Please describe your event (goal, audience, set up, etc.):
The goal of hosting the panel "French for Professional Success: A Round Table with Diplomats, Consular, and Business Representatives" is to provide a platform for meaningful discussions and insights into the role of the French language in enhancing professional success for our GT students interested in learning what learning French can lead to, particularly in the context of diplomacy, consular services, and business interactions. The event aims to achieve several key objectives: showcase language learning opportunities and provide insights from experts; foster networking, collaboration and professional development, offer an opportunity for discussion with experts for our students and internship opportunities. The event aims to create a dynamic and informative panel that celebrates the value of language proficiency, encourages collaboration, and equips our students at Georgia Tech with the insights and strategies needed to excel in their respective professional endeavors. This event will be part of the French Day program. Invited guests are: -David Ruffel, Cultural Attaché, Consulat Général de France à Atlanta - Michel Gerebtzoff, Consul General of Belgium in Atlanta - Katherine Lafourcade, Executive Director, French-American Chamber of Commerce Atlanta-Southeast - Hélène Touré, VP Development & Executive Search - Owar Aleiwi, Head of Public Diplomacy & Cultural Affairs Consulate General of Switzerland - Stéphanie Boulard, Associate Professor of French - moderator Audience: GT students Set Up: Theater
