Please describe your event (goal, audience, set up, etc.):
Two events featuring professional authors Ken Liu, Ploi Pirapokin, and Silvia Park. 1-2 pm Silvia and Plot will teach SFF writing to Britain Fellows, Writing Program, and students interested in becoming pro speculative fiction writers. 3-4:15 will be a panel discussion celebrating the next issue of Hivemind Magazine: "Tolkien in Asia." Hugo and Nebula-award winning author Ken Liu will join us online. The target audience includes students and scholars interested in professional writing, science fiction and fantasy studies, diaspora and ethnic studies, and translation. First event will be in person and just require mics; the second event will be hybrid and will need screen and internet connection.
