From Lab to Market at AI Speed: Ownership, Risk, and Value Creation in the Age of AI In-Person
Want to turn your academic research into a market-ready venture? Join the Georgia Tech Library Monday, Sept. 28 from 11:00-12:00 in the Scholars Event Theater for a seminar to discover how the next generation of founders and researchers are navigating AI-driven innovation.
Artificial intelligence is accelerating the journey from scientific discovery to commercial product, while also creating new questions about ownership, confidentiality, reproducibility, regulation, financing, and competitive advantage. Led by Dr. John Sears, this seminar follows an AI-assisted innovation from the laboratory through intellectual-property protection, validation, financing, and market entry. It offers researchers and founders a practical framework for managing AI-related risks, documenting human contributions, preparing diligence, and identifying the assets that create durable value when innovation moves at AI speed.
